A seamless appliance plan

How panel-ready refrigerators work

A panel-ready refrigerator is engineered to carry a decorative front supplied for the project. It is not the same as attaching wood to any standard fridge. Hinge capacity, ventilation, panel thickness, weight, reveal and handle placement all need to match the appliance specification.

Who supplies custom fridge panels?

Cabinetmakers commonly fabricate the visible panels to match the kitchen. ColdCraft coordinates the appliance dimensions, attachment points and limits so your millworker can build compatible fronts. If you need an appliance for a nonstandard opening, compare our custom-size refrigerators.

Panel-ready planning checklist

  • Confirm appliance width, height and installation depth
  • Use the specified panel thickness and maximum weight
  • Plan handle position, door swing and adjacent clearances
  • Maintain required intake, exhaust and service access
  • Coordinate finished floor height before cabinetry is built

Custom refrigerator panel questions

Can you add custom panels to any refrigerator?

No. Use a refrigerator specifically engineered as panel-ready. Standard doors and hinges may not support decorative panels safely or close correctly.

How much do custom fridge panels cost?

Panel cost depends on size, material, door style, finish and hardware. It is normally quoted separately from the refrigeration platform.

What is the difference between panel-ready and fully integrated?

Both can accept cabinet fronts. Fully integrated models typically conceal more of the appliance face and align more completely with cabinetry when installed to specification.
